We are a very confusing people. We can be so cruel but also compassionate - it's a choice. If you've made bad choices in the past, leave it in the past and start again, because every day is a new opportunity to change. Affirm to yourself, "All my thoughts and actions come from love." It's not so hard, we really just need to be nicer to each other. We're all experiencing hard and insecure times and we're all a lot more connected than most people think. We are mirrors for each other. If you don't like someone, take a look at yourself first. A lot of the time it can be that you see something of you in them and it's a something you don't like. It's pretty basic - don't do harm, don't judge, be kind, take responsibility for yourself and see the beauty in everyone. Namaste.
We also need to stop being so youth-obsessed, not only because it's ridiculous but also because we are devaluing wisdom and experience. We've become really accustomed to disregarding the elderly, many are treated terribly. In other countries where the old are honored and included in the everyday life of their families, they live longer and are happier. They usually end up finding ways to contribute to the family and community because they are encouraged to do so. All this is so important to our collective consciousness. Energy is attracted to like energy, so let's attract love and compassion. H.H The Dalia Lama says we should get away from our self-centeredness and I agree. Try the Planetary healing visualization.
