Notice the objects you surround yourself with. This is not a question of economics; it is a question of choosing things that are meaningful to you. If you don't like an object in your house, it has to go - no matter how much it cost or who gave it to you.
Take care of your home
When we take care of our surroundings, we instantly enter a new state of awareness. Like Eastern monks tending their meditation gardens, we have a sense of satisfaction when we have undertaken and completed a project. The forward movement keeps us in the present, opening up our crown chakra. My home soothes me on every level. I love the way it looks and feels, it really does give me joy to look around and see things that remind me of good times, of someone I love or where I want to go. Maybe best of all is the sense of love I feel at having created such a nurturing environment. It's a reminder to take care of myself.
Creating reminders
I think it's important to create energy reminders around the house. They can be interactive tools, like singing bowls or they can be metaphorical, such as watering plants. But the thing is, life can distract us from actually living in healthy energy and if you're like me, you can use as many reminders as possible.
Create affirmations and leave them on your bathroom mirror or have a picture on the fridge. I also like to create areas where I have clusters of crystals and candles, or spiritual objects arranged closely together to create a burst of positive energy in a specific area.
Try the loving presence visualization. Also check out affirmations.
